Choose from the cottage or our cabin or with a larger party both works well. The cottage sleeps four and the cabin sleeps 2.
Originally a shearing shed, Wood Duck cottage has been completely renovated with modern comforts without losing any of its unique charm. High ceilings and a huge living area make this an ideal family getaway.
The Cabin boasts the most comfortable heated QB bed in Yea. Perfect for those on a budget, on overnight stays, working or visiting the local district. Air conditioning, BBQ and outdoor fire pit. It is really delightful.
Where are we?
Wood Duck Cottage is situated on 8 acres in Killingworth Road, Yea, about 2.8 km or 8 minutes drive from town in the peaceful surrounds of the Victorian countryside.
Yea is a charming town with a warm, friendly community. During the day take a stroll around the quaint township to admire the historic buildings still in use by local businesses, pubs and restaurants. Visit the Yea Wetlands which abound with native flora and fauna, or take a short drive to the wineries of the nearby Yarra Valley.
For an active adventure hit the rail trail. Suitable for walking, cycling and horse riding.
Make the Y Water Discovery Centre your first stop to find out all about Yea and the surrounding region. Lose yourself in the tranquil wetlands, home to platypus, bird life and countless species of local flora.
A thriving food and wine scene means you’ll never run out of options to sample the finer things in life. Drop in on the local farmers market, showcasing local produce ranging from wine, olives, goats, trout, salmon and cheese. Bring your appetite and make a day of it!
