Horse agistment

Riding by horse back along the trail is a great way to enjoy the district or ride from town to town

Horse riders can ride along the length of the trail.  The main track is shared with walkers and cyclists, but separate horse trails are marked alongside the main trail in many places.

For horse enthusiasts with their own pony we have facilities to host your horse overnight.  You stay in the comfort of the house and your horse in the comfort of his own safe paddock.  Each day you float your horse to one of the gorgeous towns that surround the district.  Starting from Molesworth, Alexandra, Yarck, Kanumbra or various other points you can do a half day or a full day ride.  Car parks are spaced along the trail for easy pick up and drop off at the beginning and end of your ride. Horse yards are located at various points along the trail so you can stop off at a pub for lunch, it is a fun day.

Cost for overnight stay for horses: $40
